The Libertines played their smallest gig in ten years last night in London’s Camden, launching the surprise gig at the 245 capacity Blues Kitchen just after 10pm.

The band had been spotted earlier in the evening drinking at the nearby pub The Dublin Castle,

with Pete Doherty launching into an impromptu performance of ‘Albion’.

The Libertines played a bumper set at the Blues Kitchen, blasting through 28 tracks in total, many of them shouted requests from the crowd. They also played a number of covers including Chas and Dave’s ‘Knees Up Mother Brown’ to close the gig, The Stroke’s ‘Someday’ and The Clash’s ‘Rudie Can’t Fail’.
