Twitter: Home Of Tweets (And The Odd Twit)

Twitter: Home Of Tweets (And The Odd Twit like Kanye West and B.o.B.!)

Not known for being the most modest of artists, Kanye West (the self-professed greatest living rock star) has taken to Twitter to announce the completion of his new album Swish, which is due for release on February 11th, although the hip hop star put it slightly differently:

‘So happy to be finished with the best album of all time’.

While Twitter and other social media is generally a useful tool for bands and artists it does allow some of the more egotistical or downright delusional to state their views.

And Kanye West was not the only hip hop artist on social media yesterday. Twenty-seven year old US rapper B.o.B., better known to his mother as Bobby Ray Simmons Jr., has used a series of tweets to (wait for it…) proclaim the world is flat!:

‘A lot of people are turned off by the phrase “flat earth”… but there’s no way u can see all the evidence and not know… grow up’

‘No matter how high in elevation you are… the horizon is always eye level… sorry cadets… I didn’t wanna believe it either.’

‘No matter how much over-whelming evidence is presented to humans… they won’t believe it until it comes on the cooperate driven news’

And while the rapper is apparently serious, he does at least offer a solution for those among his 2.2 million twitter followers who take issue with his rather odd beliefs:

‘If my tweets are rattling the tiny little cages of your reality… the unfollow button is right there’

O.K. done!
